Did not set this one up... but doesn't it look great?
Anyways! We had a great party tonight. 35 people - all of our town team plus several interior families who were out for paperwork, couple Canadians included, but they behaved. :) Tons of kids, great food, water balloons, and *firecrackers* (kinda) The menu - hamburgers (a real treat as the closest McDonald's is 1500 miles away and beef is expensive here!) and homemade ice cream - another huge treat as the stuff they sell for ice cream here should be illegal. :)
The *fireworks* - we couldn't find any for sale ANYWHERE so we had about half a dozen of these - that were in our car when we bought it - leftovers from who knows when! They were NOT spectacular to say the least, but the kids loved them!
And a Happy 4th of July to all of you!!! Oh, that's right, you've already celebrated and are in bed, now. We just got up! The ice cream batter is in the refrigerator as we speak. As usual, we are going to the Baima's for our all-American celebration. This year, it starts with church in the Templeton park, followed by a parade and then hamburgers and all the fixin's with Ron and Pam. Grandpa and the kids will crank the ice cream - yum! Then, you know Ron and Grandpa...there will be LOTS of fireworks! We'll be thinking of all of you and missing you a bunch, but will have pictures in our minds of three happy little American boys so very far away. Emily, thank you for making sure our boys have this very important celebration every year. My love to all of you ~ Grandma :):):)
