A very happy little boy
At the store with his wad of cash.... The proud owner of a new hoop.... All 3 boys playing with the hoop.... Not pictured.... a very sad Mommy who now has to sweep her own floors. :(
Elijah ~ I love your hoola-hoop! It is so bright and fun looking! I am very proud of you for earning your own money to buy it! Now, I will be looking forward to seeing a video of you using it! When I was about 7 or 8, hoola-hoops became very popular. "ALL" the kids had them, but most of us didn't really know how to use them. We were thrilled when we saw an ad in the paper for "free hoola-hoop lessons". It turns out, the place for the lessons was right across the street from us. On Saturday morning, at the appointed time, a whole group of us showed up on the doorstep of the house across the street with hoola-hoops in hand. A very surprised young man (probably in his late 20's) came to the door. It turns out, his friends had placed the ad as a practical joke on him. He must have turned out to be a great dad...he took all 10 to 12 of us in his backyard and did the best he could to hold a "Hoola-Hoop Class" for about an hour. What a guy! I must add...we used our hoola-hoops a lot for a very long time. I think it is fun to see them coming back in popularity every few years. They are even a standard piece of PE equipment at school! Enjoy your hooping, Sweetheart. Love ~ Grandma
